1. Classification of Monorail Locomotivess
According to different power sources, Monorail Mine Locomotives are mainly divided into the following three categories:
Diesel Suspended Monorail Locomotive (DCR series)
Advantages: strong power, large traction and outstanding climbing ability, can adapt to 25-degree slope, the maximum load capacity under this slope is 32 tons; currently, 10-drive configuration has been achieved, single-drive traction is 30KN, and the total traction can reach up to 300KN.
Disadvantages: The exhaust gas emitted by the diesel engine during operation will pollute the narrow lane space, and there is noise pollution problem, and the equipment maintenance process is more complicated.
Pneumatic Suspended Monorail Locomotive (DQ series)
·Advantages: Compared with diesel engine Monorail Locomotives, it is more environmentally friendly and energy-saving, has no exhaust gas pollution, and is easy to maintain.
·Disadvantages: Weak traction and climbing ability, and the maximum applicable slope is 20 degrees.
Lithium Battery Suspended Monorail Locomotive (DL series)
Advantages:
Excellent environmental protection, no exhaust gas and chemical liquid pollution, in line with energy-saving requirements;
Supports 10-drive configuration, total traction can reach 300KN, can adapt to 25-degree slope;
Easy to charge, can be charged in standby mode.
2. Structural features of Monorail Locomotives
Basic configuration: consists of four parts: driver's cab, drive unit, electro-hydraulic control car, and power unit system.
Running track: I140E or I140V I-beam is used, which is flexibly fixed to the top of the lane by chains. The locomotive load-bearing wheels are engaged on both sides of the I-beam, which can effectively avoid derailment and falling off the track; braking is achieved by clamping the track web with the brakespring, and the failure braking mode is adopted, which is safe and reliable in operation.
3. Purpose of Monorail Locomotives
With 5T/8T/16T lifting beam, it can transport support materials, belts, cables and small equipment;
With corresponding containers, it can complete the transfer of construction materials and scattered spare parts;
When connected to a man-car, it can realize underground personnel transportation. Each man-car can accommodate 10 people, and the single transportation volume reaches 30-50 people;
With the help of special lifting beam, it can complete the transportation and transfer of large equipment such as hydraulic supports.
As an underground auxiliary transportation equipment system, it has the characteristics of low investment, easy maintenance, diverse functions and high efficiency.
It has a failure braking function and adopts a dual electrical braking method;
It is equipped with a stall speed limit protection device, which can automatically trigger emergency braking and also supports manual emergency braking;
The locomotive has a small turning radius and strong climbing ability, and can operate stably in tunnels with multiple bends, multiple forks and severe bottom drum;
It can travel in narrow tunnel sections, effectively optimizing the working environment;
The track is suspended at the top of the tunnel, which is easy to install and disassemble and is not restricted by the bottom plate conditions;
The entire transportation process is controllable, completely avoiding the risks of broken ropes, unhooking, rollovers, and runaway cars that may occur in traditional transportation methods;
When using lithium batteries as the power source, it has the advantages of low noise, no pollution, stable traction, environmental protection and energy saving;
Simple operation, convenient maintenance, and low operating costs.
